Our Vision is to disciple others according to the gospel of Jesus Christ consistent with Matthew 28:19-20. Through equipping and enabling individuals in the local church body, we will send them out to equip and enable other believers to spread the gospel and disciple others.
Philippians 2:3 “…make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves…”

• Mission statement – “Knowing Christ & making Him known through word & deed” (Acts 8:35).
Uganda – ECF started connecting with the country of Uganda through Sign of the Dove church. We have built a relationship with Pastor Daniel Kagwaa and his wife Erica in Kampala. The Lord has opened doors for working with orphans there as well as women’s ministry and pastor conferences. We look forward to the way the Lord will continue to use us in ministering to our brothers and sisters in Christ in Uganda.

Kenya – Edgewater started visiting the country of Kenya and have connected with Pastor Douglas Mukisa who has developed a church, New Song Chapel, which focuses on teaching God’s Word, discipleship, and reaching out to the lost and hopeless. There is a strong desire to minister to the children and single moms trapped in the slums of Nairobi. We have been blessed to be able to send teams to minister in the midst of darkness and despair.
Kenya Mission Trip – October 2012
In the summer of 2009 ECF felt a heavy burden for our neighbors in Haiti, after one of our high school students at ECF went to be with the Lord in a sudden summer accident. Several of her friends immediately began to explore ways to carry on her vision of helping the orphans of Haiti. The Bible makes it clear the importance of caring for orphans in James 1:27, calling it “pure and undefiled religion before God the Father.“ God immediately began opening doors and establishing relationships with the missionaries in Haiti, many of whom were doing God’s work in caring for orphans.
In December of 2009 two representatives took a trip to Haiti to explore ways that the Lord might use ECF in Haiti. Shortly after this trip in January, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake devastated the country. Plans and priorities momentarily shifted. An immediate need for medical attention would arise. The Bible says in Luke chapter 10 to “love your neighbor as yourself.” As a church body we had an amazing opportunity for our Haitian neighbors to experience the love of our God.
In February of 2010 ECF sent a team of 4 to Haiti. This team included 1 doctor and 3 nurses. They worked tirelessly for over a week in the city of Les Cayes helping in local hospitals. They cared for the wounded Haitians and supported doctors and nurses.
After a February 2011 visit to Haiti through Haiti Partners, the Lord has led us into the community just outside of Leogane, the epicenter of the 2010 earthquake. It is here we are beginning to develop direct relationships with the school and surrounding community. Our desire is to continue to send support and assist with education through the Word.
As many of you know Edgewater has linked up with Billy Graham Paulose and Body of Christ Ministries. The investments we’ve made in India over the past four years have shown much fruit, as thousands have come to know the truth of Jesus Christ.
ECF continues to travel to India to reach out to those who are less fortunate. We visit villages that lack the bare essentials that you and I may take for granted every day. During our outreach we dig for fresh drinking water, plant and build new churches, and share the Gospel with local Indians in the language of Tamil. God has well equipped us in this region.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. -Matthew 24:14
ECF has partnered with Clyde and Kelsie Bergquist (along with their four children) in Altamira, Brazil to spread the word of Jesus Christ to those who seem “unreachable”. The Bergquists have dug their roots deep in Brazil by being involved with the Xingu Mission for the past ten years.
ECF will help equip the Berguists in their journeys by sending teams down to Brazil to aid the delivery and installation of water filtration equipment, distribution of food and clothing, and sharing the Gospel with the local Brazilians.
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them? -Romans 10:13-14

We at ECF have a desire to allow all members of our families to serve the Lord, no matter how young or old. The Family Mexico Mission Trips are designed to do just that. While our goal is to provide a place for families with young children to serve together, couples without children and singles are always welcome. We aim to provide the opportunity for anyone who is willing to use their gifts to minister to the body of believers in San Quintin, Mexico.
San Quintin is a quiet agricultural village located four hours south of the border on the Baja. The private, gated mission accommodations are situated one mile from the ocean and are perfect for families. They provide individual family rooms, as well as flushing toilets, warm showers and drinking water. There are projects available to anyone who is willing to help. If you’d like to teach your child to hammer a nail, we could use you on the building project. If you and/or your children would like to help with VBS, we would love the help! If you have a little prayer warrior or are a prayer warrior yourself, there are people that need prayer! If you enjoy creating menus and cooking for large groups, we’ll put you to work! Our days begin and end with worship and devotions so if you are gifted in leading worship or teaching, there’s a place for you here. Whatever you have to give, even if it’s a warm smile and a helping hand where it’s needed, there’s an opportunity available to serve on one of our Family Mexico Mission Trips!
We understand that these may not be skills that we or our kids already have, but we do understand what happens between the parent and the child when they serve together, and what happens individually as we give back to the Lord in service to Him! Even those with very young children are welcome. We will have the freedom to adjust our schedule to accommodate specific needs, even nap times if necessary.
Our first trip was in July 2010 and it was a great success! We were able to pray for families in need, do a week of vacation bible school, a work project for a local church which included painting and building, and we enjoyed several meals together prepared by the local church members. Even our youngest missionaries were able to participate in collecting scrap wood from our building project, painting walls and pulling weeds around the church building! We also had plenty of time each day after our projects were over to spend time with our families and the group as a whole.
Please pray and consider being a part of these family mission trips. As usual, we will receive so much more than we are able to give! For more information, please contact Jason Fletcher at 541-450-3238.
In 2011 Edgewater began a journey of mission work in Israel. During this first trip, contacts were made and relationships established which will hopefully open doors for future mission trips to Israel. The group was able to serve on the farm of an older man, gleaning and helping clear the land for his orchard. Another avenue of service was to assist a husband and wife with their Gospel Café ministry and the Helping Hand Coalition which assists Holocaust survivors by providing food and supplies to those in need. The team also visited the Jaffa Institue, a non religious based organization that reaches out to children, abused women, single moms and poor families. There were many opportunities to provide pastoral and church support to those who are living their life for Christ in an area where religious persecution is so prevalent. We will continue to take teams to Israel as the Spirit leads and as the call is prompted through the needs of the body. Through these trips we will blend service projects with the opportunities to visit the places Jesus walked when He was with us as the Messiah.
