We recognize many in our community have been impacted both physically and financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVER Fund provides short-term emergency relief to those facing financial crisis due to unexpected setbacks during this time (e.g. unemployment, business closure, medical emergency, etc.).

AWARD: up to $500 per household


To be considered, you must meet at least 2 of the following criteria (to be verified):

  • Lost your job in the last 3 months
  • Your employment hours were reduced by 50% or more in the last 3 months
  • Your household’s total gross annual income for 2019 was less than $40,000
  • You have 4 or more dependents (children and/or parents living under the same roof)
  • You have other extenuating circumstances that can be demonstrated

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee funding. Due to overwhelming need, only applications meeting eligibility criteria and demonstrating critical need will receive consideration.

Q: Do I have to be a Christian or a member of Edgewater Christian Fellowship to apply?

A: No. Anyone may apply as long as they can demonstrate need.


Q: Is it difficult to apply?

A: The application is only 1 page and takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.


Q: Where do I send my supplementary documents?

A: Email them to coverfund@edgewaterfellowship.org. You may also mail or drop off physical copies at the church office (101 Assembly Cir., Grants Pass, OR 97526).


Q: If I’m awarded, how much will I get?

A: Based on your demonstrated need, you will be considered for up to $500 per household.*


Q: Am I guaranteed funding if I apply?

A: No. Due to overwhelming need, we will prioritize allocating funds to those who demonstrate the greatest need for relief from financial hardship.


Q: Who makes the funding determination?

A: A board of reviewers will conduct a blind evaluation of applications after an initial screening process. This means identifying information is removed from the applications in order to ensure bias-free consideration.


Q: When will I know if I’ve been awarded?

A: You will receive a funding decision within 5 business days of submitting your completed application and supplementary documents.  An application is not complete until all supplementary documents are received.


Q: How will funds be issued?

A: A check will be sent to you via mail.


Q: Can I apply more than once? Or can several people from the same household apply at the same time?

A: No. In an effort to meet a broad range of needs across our community, we ask that you only submit one application per household.* Also, you will not be eligible for consideration if you have been a past recipient of the COVER Fund.


Q: Will my submitted information be secure?

A: Once a funding decision has been made, all copies of your supplementary documents will be destroyed and only your basic contact information will be retained. Please do NOT submit any original documents—only copies.


Q: Will my donation be tax-deductible?

A: Yes. The COVER Fund is a ministry of Edgewater Christian Fellowship, a registered non-profit organization.


*”Household” refers to one or more people who live in the same dwelling and share meals.
